The Clyde Tornado
of
10 June 1938

This small group of snapshot prints came down to Charles Chaney from his mother, Maudie Ruth Canady Chaney.  The snapshots had no inscriptions and were verbally identified by Maudie Ruth who said that they were pictures of the aftermath of the "cylone" at Clyde.  It is not known who took the pictures although it appears that Maudie Ruth obtained copies when she lived in Callahan County in the mid-1940s.  There was no description of the snapshots although the damaged school and train are obvious.
