Charles Claude Chaney's
Chaney Family Snapshots
Cross Plains, Texas

1945-1948

As World War II ended, the Claude Chaney family moved from Grand Prairie, Texas, to a farm that was located about nine miles west of Cross Plains, Callahan County, Texas.  The farm was across the road from Maudie Ruth's sister, Annie Lee Canady Baum, her husband Leo Thomas Baum, and their family.  The kids spent a lot of time together.  The family moved to a farm near the eastern side of Cross Plains in the summer of 1947 and lived there for one year.
